Head to the parking lot of Our Mutual Friend Malt & Brew, 2830 Larimer Street, from 6 to 10 p.m. tonight for the Final Friday Food Truck Fiesta. The truck party will feature eight food trucks plus beer, salsa dancing, kids' activities, the Denver Fashion Truck, a DJ, a bike raffle and more. The Denver Taco Festival will be heating up Infinite Monkey Theorem today and Sunday from noon to 6 p.m. This taco fiesta will feature tacos, tequila, Chihuahua races, lucha libre wrestlers imported from Mexico, a full-contact hot-pepper-eating trivia challenge, and live bands. Whiskey and Wings flies into Ace today. This wing competition will feature some of Denver's best chefs competing for the title of Denver's First Wing King. In addition to tasting some sizzling wings and sipping a little whiskey, guests will also have the opportunity to enter a charity wing eating contest and ping-pong tournament for great prize packages. Proceeds will benefit the Denver Housing Authority's Youth Culinary Academy.
COCHON 555's Punch Kings Competition will be taking over The Curtis downtown from 4 to 8 p.m. today. This highly-spirited event is the culmination of the competitions that took place in ten cities across the U.S. throughout the year; ten winning barkeeps will compete by preparing their award-winning recipes of boozy punch using Breckenridge Bourbon. Get a taste of Dorchester Social Eatery, which will open next month, from 5 to 8 p.m. at Clear Creek Organics fifteen-acre farm tonight. In partnership with Pressery and Long I Pie, Dorchester's executive chef Michel Wahaltere will create a farm-fresh menu, incorporating fresh produce from Clear Creek with local Colorado meat and sustainable fish from Skuna Bay. Pressery will serve signature juice cocktails during a farm tour and guests are encouraged to bring their favorite bottle of wine. Glasses and ice buckets will be provided.
