The annual Denver Gorilla Run is one of the weirdest (and most fun) fundraisers this city has to offer. Last year, the run set a Guinness World Record for the most people in gorilla costumes in one place: 1,061 gorilla-costumed racers ran for 3.5 miles to achive that honor.

Tonight, race organizers are hosting one of several in a series of Gorilla Gatherings around the city; this one will take place at the Goosetown Tavern, 3242 East Colfax Avenue, from 5:30 to 8 p.m. Stop by to learn more about the October Gorilla Run; get information at www.denvergorillarun.com.
