And while Josh has kept the interior -- one of the most striking we've seen in this city in a long time -- under wraps during the construction phase, he gave me a sneak peek into his newest concept, which was designed by Xan Creative -- the same firm that created the eye-popping quarters of Snooze, Marco's Coal-Fired Pizzeria and D Bar in San Diego. And the Ace space, bedecked with preserved elements from its prior days as the former Storz Garage space, along with rusticated, reclaimed and recycled materials, including pallet wood, a neon sign, shipping containers, lighting fixtures, a retro water fountain -- and even parts from old airplanes -- is full of visual eye candy.
