Heads up, local groms: This is your big chance.

The Dew Tour's amateur series, the Free Flow Tour, has helped launch the careers of young skateboarders like Chaz Ortiz, Timmy Knuth, and David Loy, and BMX riders like Kevin Kiraly and Mike Spinner. This year the series got itself a new big-ticket sponsor and is coming to the Winter Dew Tour as well, which means whippersnapper snowboarders and freeskiers are going to be coming out of the woodwork for a chance at the big show: The Gatorade Free Flow Tour champ will compete against the pros at the Toyota Championship, the last stop of the the Winter Dew Tour, next month at Mount Snow, VT.

The first of ten winter Gatorade Free Flow Tour events around the country kick off this weekend at Vail (and at Big Boulder, PA), January 9-10. Registration for the Vail event is from 7am to 9am on Saturday at Golden Peak, and costs $20 (lift ticket not included). Online registration is already closed, so get up there early if you want a chance to compete.

Colorado competitors will get a second chance to throw down at Keystone, January 23-24 (register online now).
