Name: Teresa Scaggiari.

Spotted at: Auraria campus library.

Profession: I'm a waitress part-time at The South restaurant. I'm a full-time student studying journalism at Metropolitan State University of Denver.

Favorite film: I really like all of the Harry Potter films.

2013 jam: I really like "Blue Jeans" by Lana Del Rey. I play it every day.

Style inspirations/icons: I feel really inspired by the city, downtown Denver. I see what other people are wearing and try to take from that. Pinterest is an inspiration because it has so many images in one place.

Favorite color: Red.

Favorite accessory: Shoes are always a girl's best friend, and necklaces are a big thing for me as well.

Style mantra: Comfort first, basically. I don't really say anything to myself besides, "Darn, you look good." I mainly want to be comfortable and stylish.

Shops at: Forever 21 is my go-to place and occasionally Kohl's. I don't have much time to shop in stores, so I order from Forever 21.com and hope it fits.

"I mix it up, I wear what's comfy and looks good. I try to play with things," says Scaggiari, a Colorado native. Here she mixes a leather jacket with military-inspired lapels with one of her favorite accessories, a pearl-and-diamond encrusted necklace. Scaggiari commutes from Englewood to downtown Denver for school via the light rail, absorbing inspiration along the way. These tan wedge heels match her flowing brown top, and the studded leggings go with the leather jacket and necklace. Scaggiari even adds bling to her fingers with this ring.

Style analysis: Mixing styles and having fun is important to Scaggiari, and she proves it by pairing this masculine jacket with a light and breezy blouse and tan wedges. She accessorizes the ensemble with dramatic and feminine jewelry that contrasts nicely with the black tones in the outfit. Scaggiari soaks up style inspiration from the people she observes on the city streets, and this instills her with the confidence to try new things, creating fresh combinations of clothing.

Always be confident to try new things, Denver.
