Temple of Ruin Burlesque Tour at Mutiny information Cafe (Monday) Kicking off their burlesque tour, Denver's Surlie Temple and New Zealand's Ruby Ruin will be sharing stage tales tonight at 7 p.m. at Mutiny Cafe. Stop by to hear some stories, and then head over to 3 Kings Tavern at 9 p.m. for Metal Burlesque. Unlike the Mutiny Cafe event, the 3 Kings show isn't free (it'll cost you $5), but how often do you get to see a burlesque performer from the land of Lord of the Rings?
Flash Fiction Slam at the Mercury Cafe (Wednesday, free) Head to the Mercury Cafe tonight for an evening of short, short stories. The F-Bomb reading series will host its first-ever flash fiction slam featuring 100-word stories from those with a knack for brief narrative.
Kinesthesia Festival at the 16th Street Mall (Thursday, free) The students from the University of Colorado Denver's College of Arts & Media digital design program will showcase their new work tonight. But unlike most art shows, this one will include interactive games and apps that will be on display on the big LED screen. It's sure to be an unexpected and fun way to spend an afternoon.
