Do you enjoy writing, brainstorming, working online, taking photos or any combination of these items? Do you want to do these things professionally -- without the added drag of getting coffee for your superiors or using the stapler for more than three hours a day? Then we've got an offer for you: Apply to become an editorial intern at Westword. At our 24/7 website and alt-weekly magazine, you'll get a vast (and wild) variety of experience in your area of interest. Continue reading for more information about the gig -- and how to apply.

First things first: You must be able to receive class credit for the internship. And while we can't promise paychecks, we can offer hands-on training from editors and fellow staffers, as well as the bylines and real-life lessons you won't get in class.

Every semester, Westword hires several editorial interns who assist us with our news, food, arts and music blogs on a daily basis. Are you a news junkie? Pick a beat, such as sports, and pitch us your best ideas. Enjoy writing about rap? Review an A$AP Rocky concert or interview Action Bronson. Have a soft spot for the fine arts? Cover opening nights, new companies and the biggest names and pieces around the city. Are you more of a visual person? Take photos for Westword at concerts, festivals, openings and closings.

Depending on your schedule, we can be flexible on your hours and time in the office -- but you must be a currently enrolled college student who lives in the Denver metro area and is both hard-working and open to new experiences. (Trust us: You'll get a lot of them during your time here.)

If you're interested, please send a resume and three samples of your work to [email protected].
