Today, the Detroit News and the Detroit Free-Press announced that they will reduce home delivery of their products to three days a week: Thursday, Friday and Sunday. It's a radical move that's got plenty of Denver connections and correlations.

The Detroit papers are linked by a joint-operating agreement, as are the Rocky Mountain News and the Denver Post. Moreover, the Detroit News is owned by Dean Singleton's MediaNews Group, whose portfolio includes the Post. And the News' editor and publisher is Jon Wolman, seen above, who until last year was the Post's editorial page editor.
