Of course, some Ravens are more frightening than others, no matter the time of year. Here are the five scariest this season:
5. Willis McGahee. No, he's not the running threat he once was, but he's still a steady performer, and he's got a nose for the end zone. Right now, he's leading the team in scoring with seven touchdowns (five on the ground, two via reception) in six games. 4. Derrick Mason. The Ravens' steadiest wide receiver, and one of quarterback Joe Flacco's favorite targets. He's capable of stretching the field and adding plenty of yards after the catch, but he can be stopped: The Bengals held him catchless in a win. 3. Ray Rice. Although Rice doesn't have an extremely high national profile, give him time. He's just five-eight, but he's tough and productive, averaging a whopping six yards per carry en route to 441 yards to date. 2. Terrell Suggs. Yeah, those offensive players are nice, but the strength of the Ravens is still on the defensive side of the ball -- especially the linebacking corps, with Suggs being a prime example. He's brutal against the running game, and as a blitzer, he's just as tough, having already registered two-and-a-half sacks this year. A worthy heir to... 1. Ray Lewis. When is this guy going to slow down? Lewis may have a lot of wear on his tires, but his motor still races, which explains why he has twenty-plus tackles more than anyone else on his very good squad. He may have been cleared of those murder charges that swirled around him a decade or so back, but on the turf, he's undeniably a killer.Thank goodness the Broncos have some scary-good players of their own...
