At about 9:30 p.m. last night, according to the Aurora Police Department, officers were dispatched to the 1600 block of North Alton Street.
The report: shots fired.
In the courtyard of an apartment building at that location, the cops found a thus-far-unidentified adult male suffering from what are described as "apparent gunshot wounds."
He was still alive when he was rushed to a nearby hospital, but died shortly thereafter.
At this point, the APD has no suspects and isn't sharing any other information. But they're asking for the public's help and are willing to pay for it.
A reward of up to $2,000 is being offered in the case. If you know anything about this crime, phone Crime Stoppers at 720-913-STOP (7867).
