Colorado Film Office description: "In this film about friendship and loyalty, Louise (Susan Sarandon) and Thelma (Geena Davis) decide to take a road trip in order to escape from their dull and challenging lives. But when a man threatens to rape Thelma, Louise kills him, and before they know it, the pair find themselves being hunted by the police."
Number 9: WarGames (1983) Filming Location: Colorado Springs -- Cheyenne Mountain Complex
Colorado Film Office description: "A teenager, played by Matthew Broderick, is a computer game afficianado who accidentally taps into a top secret super-computer that controls the U.S nuclear arsenal. The teen becomes involved in a game between the United States and Russia that could lead to World War 3."

Colorado Film Office description: "Robert Angier is a magician in London whose wife, Julia, dies accidentally by being his assistant in a performance. Robert blames his assistant Alfred Borden for her death and the two become enemies who attempt to sabatoge one another's performances. Starring Christian Bale, Hugh Jackman and Scarlett Johansson."
Number 7: In the Line of Fire (1993) Filming Location: Denver -- Civic Center Park
Colorado Film Office description: "Clint Eastwood stars as Frank Horrigan, a secret service agent who was in charge of protecting President Kennedy when he was assassinated. Now, years later, a clever and dangerous former CIA assassin (John Malkovich) is threatening to kill the current president. Will Horrigan be able to protect the President now that he has a second chance?"

Colorado Film Office description: "In this cult hit from the early 70's, a car delivery man named Kowalski gets involved in a bet that he can take a 1970 Dodge Challenger from Colorado to San Francisco in less than 15 hours. Along the way he encounters a blind DJ and the two are chased by the highway patrol. The film's adventurous and odd characters make it an interesting, must-see classic."
Number 5: About Schmidt (2002) Filming Locations: Boulder, Denver
Colorado Film Office description: "Warren Schmidt (Jack Nicholson) is a man who faces retirement and must come to terms with the relationships in his life. He goes on a journey across the Midwest in an RV to attend his estranged daughter's wedding in Denver and finds humor and many realizations about himself along the way. Starring: Jack Nicholson and Hope Davis."

Colorado Film Office description: "'Badlands' is based off of the true story of Charles Starweather and Caril-Ann Fugate, who murdered Fugues family and went on a killing spree shortly afterward. Kit Carruthers (Martin Sheen) sweeps Holly Sargis (Sissy Spacek) off of her feet with his James Dean-like charm. When Holly's family criticizes their relationship, the two kill her family and then set out towards the Badlands of Montana, where they continue to murder anyone who crosses their path."
Number 3: Sleeper (1973) Filming Locations: Golden, Denver Botanic Gardens, Boulder, Greenwood Village, Lakewood
Colorado Film Office description: "In this classic film by Woody Allen, featuring both Allen and Diane Keaton, a health food store owner is frozen and brought into the future in order to help a group of radicals overthrow the government."

Number 1: The Searchers (1956) Filming Locations: Aspen, Gunnison
Colorado Film Office description: "John Wayne plays Ethan Edwards who returns home after the Civil War only to be raided by a Comanche. Ethan sets out on a year-long journey with his nephew Martin in order to find his niece, who was kidnapped by the Indians."
