Last month, we told you about two marijuana-related busts in Broomfield, as well as North Metro Drug Task Force Commander Jerry Peters' revelation that his unit had at least 23 active marijuana investigations.
Don't know if the latest bust -- of alleged marijuana grower Brian Joseph Strick, 32 -- was among that number. But there's little doubt that authorities in Broomfield are trying to make the community as unfriendly to marijuana cultivation as possible.
Here's the basic description of the case, courtesy of the Broomfield Police Department:
The Broomfield Police Department assisted the North Metro Task Force with the execution of a search warrant in the 4400 block of W. 123rd Place in Broomfield at approximately 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 30, 2010. Once the residence was secured, Task Force detectives found a 26 plant marijuana cultivation operation in the home and arrested 32 year old Brian Joseph Strick. He was booked and released from the Broomfield Detention Center pending the filing of charges for possession and cultivation of marijuana.
The release ends with the following two sentences: "This is the fourth marijuana cultivation related arrest in the City and County of Broomfield during the past 45 days. Further investigation is ongoing."
