Those unhappy officials quickly released their own manifesto, noting that the town is not connected with the confab:
City of Lone Tree Not Affiliated with "Lone Tree Declaration"Lone Tree, Colorado - In the July 8, 2010 edition of the Denver Post, there is a story titled "Summit takes aim at Obama" on page 1B. The article announces the Centennial Institute sponsored Western Conservative Summit during which a "Lone Tree Declaration" will be considered.
The City of Lone Tree wishes to clarify that as a non-partisan municipality, the City is not involved in the Summit or the Declaration. The City has asked the Summit organizers to re-title the Declaration to remove any confusion or inference of municipal involvement.
