The Glo Worm was a toy only the 80s could love. It had one function--glowing when it was hugged tight. But that one purpose made it one of the top selling toys during the decade. I was 7-years-old when I learned that the hard face of the Glo Worm, when I swung the toy over my head like a lasso, was a great brother repellent.

When I take the #15 bus up East Colfax after dark I wish I still had one.
