Actor/comic/singer Jamie Foxx's appearance at the Colorado Convention Center, previewed in this week's Backbeat section, has been put on hold. The show was originally supposed to happen on Saturday, January 13, but it's now scheduled for Wednesday, April 4.

Why? According to a press release sent out by Another Planet Entertainment, Foxx's PR firm, "weather conditions" are the reason. Right now, that seems silly; given the fierceness of the previous three snowstorms, the one currently sitting over Denver is a veritable pussycat. Then again, it's hard to blame Foxx for fearing that he might be snowed in and miss future dates. Indeed, he's scheduled to headline at the Borgata Casino Event Center in Atlantic City, New Jersey, the very next night. Sounds like a better bet.

Tickets for the January performance will be honored in April, and seats are still available through Ticketmaster. Buyers who can't attend the new date have until January 31 to get a refund at the place-of-purchase. -- Michael Roberts
