Sometimes facts add up in surprising ways -- but not in this case. Earlier today, Boulder Police revealed that they'd found three bodies in a residence on the 2400 block of Bluff Street -- an area captured in the graphic above (if you have trouble seeing the image, click "View Larger Map"). Given that the bodies displayed evidence of "obvious trauma," the likeliest explanation was a double-homicide/suicide -- and a more recent announcement confirms that the BPD has reached the same conclusion. The names of the two adult men and one adult woman have not yet been released, but multiple firearms were found in the house. No other suspects are being sought at this time.

Three deaths appear to be a double homicide-suicideBoulder police are investigating what is believed to be a double homicide-suicide inside a single-family residence in the 2400 block of Bluff Street in Boulder. Two adult men and an adult female were discovered inside, all the victims of gunshot wounds. The coroner's office is still working on making positive identification of the individuals involved.
Police were called to the home at about 11:30 a.m. today, Tuesday, May 26, after a housekeeper flagged down a nearby officer to say she had arrived at the home and found a female dead or injured inside. When officers arrived, they located the deceased female downstairs and two adult males upstairs. Multiple firearms were found inside the house and have been taken into evidence.
Investigators believe the violence was confined to this home and family. Police are not looking for any additional suspects at this time. The investigation into this incident is continuing.
