AM760 press release:
JONNY 5 OF THE FLOBOTS GUEST HOSTS FOR NEW DAD DAVID SIROTA ON AM 760!Denver, CO, November 22nd, 2010... This morning AM 760 host, nationally syndicated columnist and best-selling author David Sirota added a new title to his accomplished resume - new Dad! While David tends to his new Daddy duties, AM 760 is thrilled to announce that Jonny 5 from the Flobots will serve as guest host on Tuesday, November 23rd and Wednesday, November 24th from 7am-10am!
In his hosting debut, the founding member of the hugely successful Flobots plans to tackle hot topics of the day from his unique perspective. Topics include; The Dream Act, Mideast peace process, an update on Haiti and marriage equality. Jonny 5 was also kind enough to pull from his personal contacts and has lined-up a stellar guest list including; Julieta Quinonez from Jovenes Unidos, former gang member Terrance Roberts, comedian Chuck Roy, former Governor Dick Lamm and lead singer from Rise Against, Tim McIlrath.
Original item, November 22, 2:59 p.m.: You radio-loving progressives will have to do without AM 760's David Sirota for a while. Early this morning, his wife gave birth to the couple's first child, Isaac Irving, after a mere thirty hours of labor. That's the kind of effort that even KOA's Mike Rosen might appreciate, despite Sirota being largely responsible for him being named Keith Olbermann's worst person in the world.
Look below to see Sirota's announcement and a photo of the happy family:
Family/Friends:More from our Media archive: "David Sirota apologizes to Mike Rosen -- but not for attacking comments about NY Islamic center."Our son Isaac Irving Sirota was born early this morning (11/22/10) at Rose Hospital after about 30 hours of grueling labor. Mom and baby are healthy and happy. Meanwhile, Dad's mind is totally blown from having witnessed the indescribable awesomeness of the birth, from the experience of meeting his son for the first time, and from just signing a hospital form labeling him a "parent."
For paternity leave, I'll be taking a little more than 2 weeks off from my AM760 radio show. Have a Happy Thanksgiving!
Love, David
