When the subterranean club Wicked Garden opened in 2008 it felt like a New Orleans mansion with its darkly baroque decor, but after Corridor 44 owner Brian Siffermann took over the spot he gave it a significant makeover in decor and layout. Tonight, he's opening it has the Crimson Room: a lounge that specializes in martinis and will have DJs Wednesdays through Saturdays.

Mark Antonation reported in Cafe Society that The Crimson Room offers VIP memberships with personal liquor lockers, reserved seating areas and a separate entrance. "Of course, the vibe is dark and sophisticated, with exposed masonry and plenty of red highlights, chosen by Siffermann in part because they mirror the colors of his in-home recording studio," Antonation wrote.

On Wednesdays, DJ Rock Farmer spins cutting-edge electronica, house, downtempo, progressive and glitch-hop while DJ FaBra Inthemix spins a combination of tribal house, tech house, deep house, trance and classic '80s and '90s rock on Thursdays and Fridays. Guest DJs spin on Saturdays.

Sifferman says that he's "reinventing the martini lounge by blending mixology into an efficient delivery method." The lounge's extensive martini menu is designed around the concept of "efficient mixology" and the drinks are made using fresh herbs, fruits and infusions. The negroni and bourbon is barrel-aged in-house. The Crimson Room also serves a variety of spirits, champagne, wine and beer, and it offers bottle service and VIP liquor lockers.
