These openings will solidify 2014 as the biggest year for new breweries in Denver in recent history. At least a dozen have gone into business within the city limits since January, bringing the total to forty (depending on how you are counting). In addition, Joyride Brewing opened in Edgewater, just a few feet from Denver's border.
When these six turn on the lights, we'll be at 46, and there may be at least one more before the year is out, which would give us 47. And that doesn't include the suburbs: look for Locavore Beer Works in Littleton and Grossen Bart Brewing in Longmont to open in November as well. Here's a rundown of what's to come.

Mockery Brewing 3501 Delgany November 7 Zach and Rachel Rabun will unlock the doors to Mockery Brewing -- the latest beer maker to grace the burgeoning River North brewery district -- today at 3 p.m. Located across Brighton Boulevard from the Source market, and literally in the shadow of Great Divide's five-acre, $38 million production facility, taproom and canning plant, Mockery will have nine beers on tap: including a Black IPA, Vanilla Bourbon Porter, Peach Blonde, Salted Scotch Ale, Red Session IPA, Pumpkin Oktoberfest Ale and Rye Saison. Alpine Dog Brewing 1505 Ogden Street November 15 Gardiner Hammond had been searching for a spot in Capitol Hill for months when he came across the former Independent Records store next to the Ogden Theater late last year. Angelo's CDs had taken over part of the space, but didn't want the rest. So, after months of work, Hammond will quietly open Alpine Dog on November 15 with four beers, before hosting a grand opening the following weekend. Fermaentra Brewing 1715 East Evans Avenue November 15 After a long search, Brennan Mann and Spencer O'Bryan, the brewer/owners of Fermaentra, signed a lease last November on this spot, just two blocks away from the University of Denver campus in the neighborhood they had targeted from the very beginning. Although Fermaentra hasn't released its opening-day taplist yet, its Facebook page has hinted at a Russian Imperial Stout, a blonde ale/lager hybrid, a dry-hopped pale ale and a hefeweizen. Declaration Brewing 2030 South Cherokee Street Late November or early December "There is a lot of exciting stuff already downtown, so it is easy to get lost in the mix with so many great breweries there," says Mike Blandford of Declaration Brewing. As such, he and his four business partners are excited about their location in southwest Denver, which will include a 1,600-square-foot taproom, a 4,500-square-foot outdoor beer garden with a dedicated pad for food trucks, and quality-testing lab. Goldspot Brewing 4970 Lowell Boulevard Late November or early December Matt Hughes, a former jack-of-all trades at the Wynkoop, and Alex Sward plan to open Goldspot Brewing in the Berkeley neighborhood, about a block from Regis University. Named for the gold spot that symbolizes the sun on both the city and state flags, Goldspot will feature several core beers made on a seven-barrel system, including an IPA, an imperial oatmeal stout and a wheat beer, along with rotating seasonals. Zephyr Brewing 2601 Walnut Street Late November or early December The owners of Zephyr Brewing tell an increasingly common story: The crew of Colorado natives wanted to start a brewery in Denver, but couldn't find a good spot in Washington Park or Capitol Hill, so they headed to River North.
