Upslope Brewing Company is hosting a five-course progressive dinner featuring beer from Upslope; wine from BookCliff Vineyards, Settembre Cellars and What We Love The Winery; and coffee from Dragonfly Coffee Roasters -- all paired with food from BRU Handbuilt Ales & Eats. The ninth annual Taste of the Holidays will take place from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Whole Foods Tamarac, with live music, food, beer, wine and spirits. Admission is $10 and proceeds will benefit the Denver Dumb Friends League; learn more ddfl.org.
Rose Levy Beranbaum will be talking about and signing copies of her book, The Baking Bible, at 7 p.m. today at The Tattered Cover on Colfax.
Arvada's Annual Wines for the Holidays will take place from 6 to 9 p.m. today at the Lamar Street Center. You can sample wines from Turquoise Mesa, Balistreri Vineyards, Spero Winery, Creekside Cellars, Augustina's Winery, Avanti Winery, Kingman Estates Winery, Verso Cellars and Redstone Meadery; hors d'oeuvres will be supplied by Lost Weekend Grill, 3 Sons Italian Restaurant & Bar, Cheesecake Therapy, La Patisserie Francaise, Kristo's Olive Oil, Luke's a Steak Place, Fuzzy's Taco Shop, Noodles & Company and JR's Smokehouse.
