Denver-area Dunkin' Donuts are hosting a Rainforest Alliance Dark Roast Tasting Tour this month; from 8 to 10 a.m. today and tomorrow, the Westminster store (7615 West 88th Avenue) will be offering free samples; the tour moves to Boulder's store at 3235 28th Street October 16-17. All Denver locations will offer a 99-cent medium hot or iced Dark Roast through November 2; the coffee is being rolled out nationally next week.
Bites and Bottles at Infinite Monkey Theorem will highlight gourmet bites from Denver caterer and food trucks, local wine and beer, and philanthropy. All proceeds go to support the Shining Stars Foundation and NACE (National Association for Catering and Events). The Flatirons Food Film Festival starts rolling today and will continue through Sunday at the Muenzinger Auditorium in Boulder. During the festival, audiences can feast on five food-centric feature films as well as several shorts paired with beer tastings, a performance by Opera on Tap, chef presentations, gastronomy demonstrations and tours of a farm, a brewery and a distillery.
