This week in Cafe Society, Gretchen Kurtz took a look at the Bistro at Stapleton, another small restaurant attempting big things with a tiny kitchen -- and she also wondered why she and Denver Post restaurant critic William Porter keep writing about the same eateries... on the same days. Some of those restaurants will be participating in the upcoming Denver Restaurant Week (which is actually ten days this year); check out the menus to see if your favorites -- or the new places you've been meaning to try -- are on the list, which Visit Denver just posted on Wednesday.
One name you won't see during Restaurant Week is the Inventing Room, chef Ian Kleinman's food lab and catering company. His high-tech and whimsical fare is only available at special engagements and one-time events, like the doughnut pop-up he's hosting at Sunnyside Burger Bar next week.
Butcher's Bistro, which just opened three months ago, will be participating in this year's Restaurant Week; for Chef and Tell, Mark Antonation talked to chef Tyson Holzheimer about the bistro's nose-to-tail menu and butchering program.
