There are a variety of cannabis-related events going on in Denver this week for all interests. Academics, industry professionals and those just looking for some green entertainment can all find something to do in this week's cannabis calendar.

Clover Leaf University will begin hosting a three-day conference and executive breakfast March 4 at Casselman's Bar that features keynote speakers such as former Denver Bronco Marvin Washington, Glendale Mayor Mike Dunafon and subjects of MSNBC’s Pot Barons. The conference will cover emerging topics such as medical marijuana in sports medicine and offers licensed courses on several more important areas of the regulated cannabis industry. There will also be vendors and networking sessions, as well as an executive breakfast every day to sell your business or invest in one. Tickets start at $199 for a single day and can be purchased here.

Westword's editor and fearless leader Patricia Calhoun will be moderating one of two panels during Cannabis and Real Estate: Is Colorado the New Amsterdam this Thursday, March 5 at 2 p.m. The four-hour discussion will be held at ICOSA Studios, 4100 Jackson Street, and centers on how pot businesses affect economic development, industrial space, tourism, retail and the Colorado brand. Speakers include Ashley Kilroy, executive director of Denver's Marijuana Policy, several marijuana business executives and local politicians such as Pueblo County Commissioner Sal Pace, a former Colorado State Representative. Tours of grow facilities and dispensaries are available (supply your own transportation) from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Tickets range from $40-80. Learn more here.

Clover Leaf University is teaching a class on pot business and regulation this Saturday, March 6 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. Cannabis Business Combined Course: Open a Cannabis Business & Understanding the Laws Retail vs. Medical will focus on licensing procedures and staying afloat amid the constantly changing laws and regulations of the pot industry. The course counts for CLE credit and is located in the King Center Building at the Auraria Campus.

Green Labs
continues to indulge patrons in cannabis and food courses with one of its Sushi and Joint Rolling classes on Saturday, March 7 at 3 p.m. The class is two hours long and offers exactly what it sounds like. For those of you looking to learn about medical marijuana in a classroom setting but can't afford the couple hundred dollars to sign up, Colorado Free University offers a one-time class for only $51 on Saturday, March 7 from 1-4:30 p.m. The class will cover basic questions related to medical pot and will teach students about the endocannabinoid system and how cannabis works within the body.
