The Humane Society of Boulder Valley's Puttin' on the Leash gala Saturday should be heaven for cat people. Jackson Galaxy, the feline whisperer who stars in Animal Planet's My Cat From Hell, will be returning to where he got his start as the co-host of the event. Back in 1993, Galaxy was working at the HSBV when his connection with cats led to him to develop his trademarked “Cat Mojo” technique. You can see that technique in action on the show, where he visits cats and their guardians to help fix bad behavior and hurt feelings by teaching both parties how they can get along.

The television star will be coming back to Boulder as the co-host of the 23rd annual Puttin’ On The Leash, which raises funds to help provide shelter, medical care and behavioral rehabilitation to more than 7,000 animals a year in Boulder Valley. “We’re excited to have Jackson returning to Boulder where his passion for animals was ignited,” says Lisa Pedersen, CEO of the HSBV. “Jackson is an incredible ambassador for our feline companion animals, and his continued commitment to reinforcing healthy relationships between pets and people is remarkable.”

Puttin' on the Leash starts at 6 p.m. Saturday, April 25 at the Coors Event Center. All proceeds directly benefit the animals helped by HSBV; for tickets, visit www.potl2015.org or call 303-442-4030, ext. 637.
