What's better than enjoying a nice dinner out on the town? How about enjoying that same dinner and knowing that you are helping someone dealing with a life-threatening illness. Since 1991, Project Angel Heart has served over 5,000,000 meals to people in need in metro Denver and Colorado Springs; the kitchen puts out between 900 and 950 meals every day. And today you can help out by Dining Out for Life, at one of more than 250 metro area restaurants that will donate 25 percent of their food sales to Project Angel Heart. While the emphasis is on dinner, some are donating at breakfast and lunch, too. Find out which restaurants are participating here. For more information, head to diningoutforlife.com.
For another way to do good while you eat well, head to Central Bistro & Bar for Noche de Museo, a benefit for Museo de las Americas. The evening features a four-course farm-to-table dinner, including cocktails and dessert, as well as live music and a silent auction. The party starts at 6 p.m. and tickets are $75; learn more here.
