Three Things to Do for Free in Denver This Week, July 6-9

Free Day at Denver Botanic Gardens at Chatfield (all day Tuesday, July 7)
Soak up some sun and enjoy the gorgeous countryside at the working farm owned by the Denver Botanic Gardens. Explore miles of trails, check out the old barn and sniff a wildflower or two. Don't forget to bring binoculars, because there are plenty of birds to see, too.

What's With All the Spying? at McNichols Building (6 p.m. Tuesday, free)
As part of Warm Cookies of the Revolution's Stupid Questions, Stupid Talents series, What's With All the Spying? will investigate the community's protection and security through the eyes of Big Brother. State Representative Jonathan Singer and Commander Pat Rigdon of the Colorado Springs Police Department will lead the discussion; people whose lives have been impacted by the watchful eye will also tell their tales. 

Summer on the Plaza with Science Partner at 1801 California (5:30 p.m. Wednesday, free)
If you work downtown, you can hit this concert in the heart of the city right after work. But even if you need to travel a few miles, it's worth making the trip to check out the stylings of Science Partner, a harmonic pop rock-sounding band. Arts Brookfield is bringing these outdoor concerts to you every Wednesday in July, and they're a fine way to get over hump day.
