Yesterday's Broncos-Chargers game, won by Denver 17-3, wasn't a particularly entertaining contest for the average football lover.

At one point, announcer Kevin Harlan actually rhapsodized about how much fun it would have been to call the Panthers-Saints barn-burner (final score: 41-38 Carolina) as opposed to the one to which he'd been assigned.

But if Brock Osweiler's third straight win as a starting quarterback wasn't that much more impressive than the victories eked out by Peyton Manning earlier in the season (there was just one offensive touchdown), Broncos fans were able to enjoy the spectacle of much-hated Chargers QB Philip Rivers complaining about anything and everything en route to another defeat.

The Rivers gripe-fest was capped when he got into the face of Denver's Von Miller after being taken to the ground — at which point he quickly discovered that he'd gotten more than he'd bargained for.

Twitter Nation definitely noticed. Hence the following collection of tweets that shed no tears for Rivers — unless they were tears of laughter.

Check out the twenty most memorable tweets below, followed by two videos — the first a post-game video in which Miller reacts to Rivers's comments, the second a clip of the players meeting on the field after the game was over.
