The West End Tavern will be hosting the world premiere of Melting: Last Race to the Pole, today at 7 p.m. The film follows Eric Larsen and Ryan Waters on their 500-mile journey to the North Pole. Larsen, Waters and the filmmakers will be on hand to answer questions at the premiere, and there will be food and drink specials from the West End and Upslope Brewing. The premiere is part of the restaurant's Extreme Sports Movie Wednesdays, when you can watch the most extreme films while enjoying $1 off Upslope beers. If you aren't feeling so extreme and would rather revel in the holiday spirit, head down to The Tavern Littleton. The bar continues its Christmas Movie Wednesdays series with screenings of Elf and It's a Wonderful Life this evening. Kick back and enjoy the flicks while sipping an egg nog martini, adult hot chocolate or a half-price bottle of wine, paired with free popcorn. Elf starts at 6:30 p.m. and It's a Wonderful Life will begin at 8:30 p.m. For more information, check out tavernhg.com.
