Work & Class is celebrating the restaurant's second anniversary with a black-and-gold charity birthday bash. The party will feature plenty of good food, drinks, music and a whole lot of heart. Tickets are $60 per person, which includes food and drinks from 6 to 11 p.m. Want to skip dinner? A $30 ticket gets you in the door at 9 p.m., and includes drinks. Conscious Alliance, a local non-profit that ties the music and food industries together to serve communities in crisis nationwide, is celebrating over $1 million worth of goods and services donated, and more than two million meals served. The Alliance will hold a special benefit with Umphrey's McGee at the Fillmore Auditorium from 6:30 to 11 p.m. tonight. Guests at Umphrey's McGee: Reel to Real will experience a screening of a Nothing Too Fancy Music retrospective, followed by a live set from the band, complete with the stories behind the songs. Kent Denver School will host the seventh annual “Give Your Love to Breakthrough” to benefit Breakthrough Kent Denver, a non-profit education program for highly motivated but underserved DPS middle-school students. Tonight chefs Elijah Odell of Highland Tap and Burger and Jensen Cummings of Brewed Food will host a Brewed Food dinner at Highland Tap, with each course incorporating actual ingredients from all six New Belgium Brewing Beers (yeast, wort, barley, hops).
