Earlier this month, we told you that Denver Broncos Super Bowl 50 MVP Von Miller would take part in Dancing With the Stars' new season.
Last night, His Vonness made his debut on the program alongside dancing partner Witney Carson.
And while, as ESPN noted, he didn't dominate the competition as he had quarterback Cam Newton back in February, he tied for the second-highest score of the night from judges Carrie Ann Inaba, Bruno Tonioli and Len Goodman, making his return to the show.
Miller has been hyping his DWTS participation on Instagram via images like this one, in which he promotes the hashtag #BlondeMiller.....
...and a promo clip that finds him modifying his sack-dance moves:
Not all the press has been so glowing.
For instance, Carson reportedly began fining Miller $100 for every minute he was late to practice.
The cash was subsequently donated to a skin-cancer charity.
The tactic apparently paid off, because during the program, Miller and Carson, both clad in Broncos colors, impressed the judges with a foxtrot. See part of it here.
Afterward, Inaba called the results "smooth and silky" and praised the pair for the way they compensated for their height difference.
Goodman was complimentary, too, if not quite so effusive. "You could have gone out and done all that funky stuff you do," he pointed out. "But no, you didn't. You went for it in a proper way. Well done."
As for Tonioli, he was typically over-the-top, declaring that "you did a hip-hop trot — and it was mighty hot!"

Carson and Miller notched a 21 out of thirty, tying for second most overall. Here's the scoreboard:

Still, Miller didn't get a lot of love from recappers.
US Weekly included him in an and-the-rest paragraph toward the bottom of its piece, while TVLine.com failed to mention him at all.
Apparently he needs to step up his game.
