4/20 Food Specials to Satisfy Your Munchies

Smoke ’em if you got ’em. This Saturday is 4/20, the annual stoner holiday that celebrates all things weed, and some local restaurants are leaning in with creative specials.

Eat Here, a small takeout and delivery spot at 4004 West 38th Avenue, opened on 4/20 last year and is celebrating with a Breakfast of Champions pop-up from 9 a.m. to noon, complete with a live DJ set from Dr Droppa and White Rabbit Coffee. The menu includes $4 breakfast tacos, $6 croissant breakfast sandwiches, and biscuits with chorizo maple gravy and a side of hash browns for $11.

Bodega, our 2024 Best of Denver pick for the Best Place to Escape for a Midday Meal, is offering 4/20 specials all week long. The lineup includes a chicken picatta sandwich on Wednesday, April 17; a Bodega Blunt handpie with Nutella and banana jam on Thursday, April 18; Flight of the Concords, a combination of grape jelly meatballs, lemongrass aioli, green papaya slaw and toasted peanuts on a hoagie on Friday, April 19; and breakfast chalupas on Saturday, April 20, and Sunday, April 21.

Pho King Rapidos inside Avanti is bringing back a fan favorite for 4/20 weekend. Its classic bodega-style chopped cheese topped with lettuce, tomato and mayo on a hero roll is available April 19-21 only.

On April 20 only, Music City Hot Chicken's Denver outpost, inside TRVE Brewing, will be serving its spin on a Crunchwrap made with refried beans, cheese, lettuce, tomato, sour cream and a chicken tender with your choice of spice level and a side of Burrito Chime Fire sauce. The brewery is also releasing Nazareth, a double IPA, and limited black light pint glasses.

Mister Oso, which has locations in Wash Park and RiNo, will be serving its Gordo Crunches for $4.20 from 2 p.m. to close, as well as green slushies all day.

Its sister restaurant, Señor Bear in LoHi, will have $4.20 Gordo Crunches as well, plus its take on the Crunch Wrap from noon to 5 p.m. It will also be pouring green vodka and gin cocktails and a green frozen drink made with spirits from Breckenridge Distillery. Margaritas will be buy one, get one for $4.20, and Stoner Hazy Beer will be on special.

Uptown restaurant Steuben's is going big with a full 4/20 menu available that day only for dine-in or takeout. Specials include Mellow Mules and Froot Loop Martinis to drink, Meatloaf Mac n Cheese, Pizza Grilled Cheese, Dill Pickle Wings, Everything but the Pot Brownies and Baklava "Blunts."

Head to Black Box Bakery inside Edgewater Public Market for its Hot Cheez-It Croissant coated in cheddar powder.

Osaka Ramen in RiNo will be serving all of its ramen bowls for $14.20, and guests can add a side of mochi donuts or an Ikezo Sake Jelly Shot for $4.20.

Temper Chocolates inside the Denver Central Market in RiNo has created two munchie-inspired bonbons: The Pineapple Express, made with pineapple sage caramelized white chocolate ganache in a milk chocolate shell, and the Munchies, milk chocolate Nutella ganache with a soft brownie layer in a dark chocolate shell.

Denver is in the midst of a bagel revolution, and one of the new additions is Odell's, which has been popping up as it prepares to open a brick-and-mortar. On April 20, owner Miles Odell will be in Frisco slinging pizza bagels at Outer Range Brewing Co. from 3 to 6 p.m. The menu includes options like the French onion, with ricotta, aged balsamic, parsley and thyme; the Nduja, with Jersey tomato, fresh mozzarella and basil; vegan-friendly eggplant with blistered cherry tomatoes, herbs and oregano; and the "plain," with Jersey tomato, fresh mozzarella and parmesan.

Mellow Mushroom, which has a location in downtown Denver, is offering its signature Pretzel Bites for $4.20 when you order online using the code MEL420. Tossed in garlic butter and Parmesan, they're served with your choice of regular or spicy Pabst Blue Ribbon beer cheese.

Cannabis-themed toasted sub chain Cheba Hut is slinging any of its four-inch Nug subs for $4.20 all day and is giving out free Cheba Hut-branded frisbees "which can be used to play catch with some buds or as a rolling tray for another kind of bud," it says. You can also try its new cocktail collaboration with Cypress Hill, the Lowrider Amplified, for $7.

From April 17 to 21, Texas-born burger chain Hopdoddy, which has locations at 9th & Co and Union Station, is serving a Creamsicle shake and the Wake & Bake Bowl, made with fries seasoned with taco spice, queso, salsa verde, jalapeño ranch, chopped bacon, pickled jalapeños, cilantro and a sunnyside-up egg.

Another burger chain, Smashburger, is offering four Classic Smash Singles with American cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, red onions, pickles, Smash Sauce and ketchup for $20, only on April 20.
