The 22nd annual Westword Music Showcase is just six weeks away, and close to 100 local bands have now been confirmed to perform on a dozen stages across the Golden Triangle neighborhood on Saturday, June 25. The first round of Denver-based bands — including synth-rock band the Epilogues and rap artist Bianca Mikahn — was announced three weeks ago, and below you can find more of the city's dynamic and diverse musical acts that will perform at the festival.
The Music Showcase is designed to be the largest one-day celebration of our state's thriving music scene, and we have recruited some of Denver's favorite musicians to perform, from the punk-jazz-blues act A. Tom Collins to metal band Khemmis, hip-hop act Wheelchair Sports Camp and more. These bands are also up for the 2016 Westword Music Awards, culled from nominations submitted by more than 200 of Denver's musical movers and shakers; you can cast your vote for your favorites through June 25.
In addition to celebrating Denver's music scene, the Showcase brings some of the best national touring acts to town to perform on two outdoor main stages. This year the headliners include DJ and producer Dillon Francis, Matt and Kim, Cold War Kids, HEALTH and more.
Get your tickets now! Prices for both GA and VIP passes will increase at 11:59 p.m. on Sunday, May 15.
