Soul food was in the news this week as Gretchen Kurtz talked to chef Lonni Byrd about her vegan eatery, Love, Peace and Sol Cafe, while CoraFaye's Cafe welcomed guests to its new home on East Colfax Avenue in Aurora.
Seoul food also helped Mark Antonation cool off as he dove into a cold noodle dish from Korean restaurant Yong Gung, along with other chilled noodle dishes from Japan and China.
This morning we brought you our monthly restaurant roll call, with all the bar and restaurant openings for June. Below here are the places that opened this week, along with today's two reopenings. One of them is Walter's Pizza in Uptown, which reopened after a short remodel. The newly christened Walter's 303 Pizzeria & Publik House will also soon add a full bar in the space next door.
