Just in time for National Ice Cream Day, we dished up our list of the ten best ice cream shops in Denver. And since then, we've been taking a licking from readers who didn't spot their favorites: Where was Nuggs? Ice Cream Riot? Sweet Cow? But amid all this debate, one reader spotted opportunity. Says Shane:

This town is ripe for an ice cream shop-themed pub crawl.

While you plot that itinerary, Shane, know that Aurora's Havana Business Improvement District had the same idea. It will celebrate National Ice Cream Day from noon to 4 p.m. on July 17 with a Frozen Treats “Progressive Party” along South Havana Street; all participating shops will offer free samples of their frozen treats. They include Menchie’s Frozen Yogurt (10601 East Garden Drive), Baskin Robbins Ice Cream (1155 South Havana), Freddy’s Frozen Custard and Steakburgers (1103 South Iola Street), Good Times Burgers & Frozen Custard (1105 South Havana) and Big Daddy’s Pizza (1155 South Havana). Find more details here.
