Sometimes Colorado seems like its own country. And there's a reason for that.

Colorado is actually larger than some of the most famous countries in the world — so much so that several of those nations and others could actually fit inside our state with room to spare.

This fact is graphically depicted in "If Colorado Were a Storage Unit, What Countries Would Fit Inside?," from the folks at SelfStorage.com. The site has created a series of maps that superimpose thirteen countries over Colorado, and in general, the former don't quite measure up.
