Denver's cannabis party is finally gaining steam as we finish off the first month of the new year. Dispensary openings from familiar brands, consumption-friendly events and educational talks on subjects ranging from psychedelics to industry diversity are all on the calendar this week, with the National Cannabis Industry Association show and the NoCo Hemp Expo gearing up for the near future. Mapping the Future of Psychedelic Coaching and Clinical Research
Monday, January 29, 7 to 10 p.m.

Nationally acclaimed cannabis expert and neuroscientist Dr. Michelle Ross will give a talk on the future of coaching and research in the psychedelic community at the International Church of Cannabis on Monday, January 29. The event is hosted by the Psychedelic Club of Denver; suggested donations are $5, but attendance is free to anyone. Learn more on the event's Facebook page.

Wednesday, January 31, 4 to 7 p.m.
Flora's Mercantile and Hemp Emporium

Head to Flora's on Wednesday, January 31, to learn about medical cannabis, hemp and CBD oil with the Flora's crew and owner Chris Bedrosian. Attendance (21+), hemp tea and medical cannabis are free, but visitors must RSVP first at Eventbrite.

Roll in the New Year With Nonprofits
Wednesday, January 31, 7 to 10 p.m.

The Boulder Cannabis Industry Meetup's first discussion of 2018 will focus on nonprofits in the cannabis and hemp industries and how to support them. The panel will feature representatives from five nonprofits talking about areas of need and future projects within the industry. Attendees are asked to give a $10 donation online or at the door; learn more on the mixer's Eventbrite page.

Diversity in Cannabis Experience
Thursday, February 1, 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.

This free networking event, hosted by Minorities for Medical Marijuana, will focus on how to make the legal cannabis industry and its regulations more inclusive to minorities. There will be light appetizers and a free glass of wine for the first fifty attendees. Register on Eventbrite.

Vape Escape: Game Night
Thursday, February 1, 7 to 10 p.m.
Private Location

Hosted by Mile High Lifestyle, this private party welcomes gamers, chillers, dancers and anyone who wants a safe space in which to vape cannabis. Guests can bring a game of their choice to play with others, and there will be a live DJ and movie projectors for movies and shows. Women Grow Leadership Summit

Women Grow, one of the cannabis industry's largest trade groups, will hold its 2018 leadership summit at the Westin Denver Downtown. Men and women from around the world will meet over two days (three, if you're a Women Grow member) to learn, network and share their experiences in the cannabis world. Mile High Lifestyle returns to Arvada on Friday, February 2, with another private party where you can hang out and vape cannabis. This edition is movie night, with two movie projectors for community movies and free CBD isolate and dabs. Attendance (21+) is $5 upon registration; $10 VIP tickets include a snack ticket, and $20 VIP tickets include a gift bag and a snack ticket.

DJs from FLO 107.1 and Jammin' 101.5 will be on hand to supply the jams, and there will be free food, product discounts, games and giveaways throughout the day – including a chance to win tickets to a Denver Nuggets vs. Golden State Warriors game. The Green Solution's newest dispensary, at 1995 Wewatta Street, will spread the love to its customers on Saturday, February 3. Over fifty cannabis companies will be at the Exdo Event Center on Saturday, February 10, to hire for positions ranging from entry-level to executive. Companies attending include Verde Natural, Green Thumb Industries, Native Roots, Security Grade, Colorado Cannabis Company, Pure MMJ, Canna Security America, Marijuana Industry Group, IMPACT Network, Roots Rx, The Health Center, Simply Pure and Dress for Success. Entrance is free, but attendees must register online first.

NoCo Hemp Expo
Friday, April 6, and Saturday, April 7
The Ranch Events Complex

The NoCo Hemo Expo returns to the Ranch Events Complex in Loveland for a fifth year. There will be vendors, symposiums and panel discussions — all focusing on hemp — as well as food and live music. Tickets range from $15 for the Saturday expo to $65 for both days and access to business-to-business events. Learn more on the expo website.
