Every Farmers' Market in Denver and Beyond This Year

They're sprouting up all over!

It's the time of year when farmers' markets begin to sprout up all around the metro area, starting with the Boulder County Farmers Markets, which kick off on April 6. The lineup this year includes markets big and small, offering something for everyone — from fresh produce and meat from local ranches to carefully crafted sauces and beverages, as well as a chance to get out in the open air and greet neighbors again.

Here's our guide to farmers' markets in the metro area, sorted by days of the week:

SUNDAY

Highlands Ranch
Highlands Ranch Town Center, 9288 Dorchester St., Highlands Ranch
Opens April 7
Sundays, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. or sellout

Run by Metro Denver Farmers' Market with over thirty vendors. The market accepts SNAP and EBT cards and runs until October 27.

South Pearl Street Farmers Market
South Pearl Street between East Iowa and East Arkansas Avenues
Opens May 5
Sundays, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

For years, this bustling market has taken over Pearl Street on Sunday mornings, when it serves as much as a gathering place as a shopping area. There are dozens of vendors, seats for eating prepared foods, and samples to try. Plus, live music! The market runs through November 10.

Parker Farmers Market
19565 Mainstreet, Parker

Opens May 13
Sundays, 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.

With over 100 vendors, this market in downtown Parker offers plenty to explore. Run by the Local Colorado, it's open until the end of October, weather permitting.

Highlands Farmers Market
Highlands Square at West 32nd Avenue and Lowell Boulevard
Opens May 19
Sundays, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Now run by Jarman and Co. Events (formerly called HobNob Events), expect dozens of vendors featuring tons of freshly baked goods, food trucks, samples and more. The market will run through October 13.

Festival Park Farmers Market
300 2nd Street, Castle Rock
Opens May 26

Sundays, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
You can visit this market until the end of September depending on the weather. It's run by the Local Colorado and offers a mixture of local produce and handicrafts in downtown Castle Rock,

Arvada Farmers Market
Northeast corner of 57th Avenue and Old Wadsworth Avenue, Arvada
Opens June 2
Sundays, 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

This market in charming Olde Town Arvada will feature dozens of local vendors, farm stands, meat stalls and prepared-food stations. It will run through September.

People + Produce
Belleview Station
Opens June 2
Sundays, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Back once again, this market will have over fifty vendors, food and fashion trucks, a mimosa and beer garden and live music. It runs through October 13.

Central Park Farmers Market
Founders Green at Central Park, on Syracuse Street and 29th Avenue
Opens June 25
Sundays, 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

There's live music or a live DJ every Sunday, the perfect soundtrack for produce-shopping. The market goes through October 8.

Orchard Farmers Market
14535 Delaware Street, Westminster
Opens June 2
Sunday, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Operating in the Macy's parking lot at Orchard Town Center, this market offers produce, baked goods, local foods and more. It runs through September 29.

Evergreen Farmers Market

Opens June 4
Tuesdays, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

This 24-year-old market feature around 35 vendors weekly including old favorites and new spots too. It runs through September 24.

Broomfield Farmers' Market
At Holy Comforter, 1700 West 10th Avenue, Broomfield
Opens June 11
Tuesdays, 4 to 7 p.m.

Held at Holy Comforter Episcopal Church, this market includes meats and produce, prepared foods and food trucks and is entirely run by volunteers. To find it, just look for the tractor and little red barn. It's on through mid-September.

WEDNESDAY

Boulder Farmers Market Wednesday
13th Street between Canyon Boulevard and Arapahoe Avenue, Boulder
Opens May 1
Wednesdays, 4 to 8 p.m.

This is the evening version of the big Saturday market, and while visitors will find the same good food and products from sixty-plus vendors, the market has a different vibe. It runs through October 2.

Littleton Farmers Market at Aspen Grove
Aspen Grove, 7301 South Santa Fe Drive, Littleton
Opens June
Wednesdays from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. or sellout

This market will be open through until October and includes local and organic produce, meat, eggs,
goat cheese, flowers and more.

THURSDAY

Erie Farmers Market
Briggs Street between Wells and Moffatt Streets, Erie
Opens May 9
Thursdays, 5 to 8 p.m.

This evening market is a great place to enjoy with the whole family. It's run by Real Farmers Market and offers dozens of vendors, contact-free samples and room for little ones to run around. The market continues through September 26.

FRIDAY

Huerta Urbana Farmers Market
Focus Points Family Resource Center, 2501 East 48th Avenue
Opens June 7
Fridays, 2 to 5 p.m.
This market, formerly called the Globeville Community Farmers Market, runs through October 25 and operates on a pay-what-you-can basis, aimed at providing fresh produce and other food to those living in the area, which is considered a food desert. Customers have the options of paying any amount, from $0 to over the asking price — in which case the extra funds go to cover expenses for others. Expect fruits, veggies and meats along with gourmet provisions from artisan vendors.

SATURDAY

Boulder Farmers Market Saturday
13th Street between Canyon Boulevard and Arapahoe Avenue, Boulder
Opens April 6
Saturdays, 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Run by Boulder County Farmers Markets, which also operates the Longmont market, this venture focuses primarily on growers and local food producers. That results in a lot of produce, meats, handcrafted sauces, cheese, honey and fresh bread. The market runs through November 23, and no pets are allowed.

Longmont Farmers Market
Boulder County Fairgrounds, 9595 Nelson Road, Longmont
Opens April 6
Saturdays, 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.

There's plenty of parking and around sixty vendors to visit through November 23. Pets are also now allowed at this market.

Southwest Plaza
Located in the parking lot at Wadsworth Boulevard and West Bowles Avenue, Littleton
Opens April 6
Saturdays from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. or sellout

The spring edition of this market runs through April 27 and includes aritsans and vendors but no farmers. The selection will expand staring May 4, and the market runs through October 26.

Cherry Creek Saturday

Cherry Creek Shopping Center at First Avenue and University Boulevard
Opens May 4
Saturdays, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Park for free at this Denver market and explore a mix of vendors offering prepared foods, produce and protein, and handicrafts. It's not as large as the Boulder or Pearl Street markets, but the well-curated lineup delivers all the fresh goods customers need. Visit through October 12.

Southlands Farmer's Market
Southlands Shopping Center at E-470 and Smoky Hill Road, Aurora
Opens May 11
Saturdays, 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.

This Aurora market offers a mix of local produce, meats and dairy, as well as handicrafts and curated pantry goods. The Local Colorado runs the market, which runs through the end of September.

Rebel Marketplace
Del Mar Park, 312 Del Mar Circle, Aurora
Opens May 11
Every Saturday starting June 1, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
A true neighborhood market that focuses on showcasing on producers in the immediate area, including BIPOC urban farmers and vendors, this market includes produce, baked goods, artisan crafts and more. It runs through August 31.

City Park Farmers Market
City Park Esplanade at East Colfax Avenue and Columbine Street
Opens May 4
Saturdays, 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Head to City Park for this reimagined market which has grown even bigger than last year with more than 100 vendors including new additions like Brown Dog Farm, River Bear American Meats and Other Dog from the team at the Easy Vegan. It runs through October.

Greeley Summer Farmers' Market
7th Street, between 9th and 10th Avenue
Opens May 4
Saturdays, 9 a.m. to noon
This popular market in downtown Greeley is moving to a new location this year that offers more parking, shade and access to other local shops and restaurants. Expect organic fruits, vegetables, baked goods, tamales, art and a variety of sundries.

The neighborhood market has sixty to seventy vendors weekly including food trucks and runs through October 26.

Louisville Farmers Market
824 Front Street, Louisville
Opens May 11
Saturdays, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Pick up fresh produce, houseplants, vegetable starters, meats, handcrafted sauces, flowers and more at this spot run by Real Farmers Market, which will return every week through October 19.

Glendale Farmers Market
4601 East Kentucky Avenue, Glendale
Opens May 26
Saturdays, 8 a.m. to 1 p.,m.

The Hispanic Restaurant Association is introducing its own farmer's market this year, which will run through Labor Day weekend. Shop goods from farmers, ranchers and artists, and enjoy food cooked by local culinary talent at the chef's table.

Golden Farmers Market

Opens June 1
Saturdays, 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Shop for pastries, local honey, pickles and produce at this cute, compact, neighborhood market that runs through October 5.

Lakewood Farmers' Market

Opens June 15
Saturdays, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. or sellout

Visit this small market run by Metro Denver Farmers' Market through September 28.

Castle Rock Farmers Market
500 Fairgrounds Drive, Castle Rock
Opens mid-June
Saturdays, 8 a.m. to noon

For over thirty years, this market has helped build bonds between consumers and local farmers, and this year is no different. Pick up goods from a variety of stands through October 5.

SATURDAYS AND SUNDAYS

Urban Market at Union Station
Wynkoop Plaza
Starts June 1
Select Saturdays and Sundays from noon to 6 p.m.

New this year is this market series from Denver Union Station and the Downtown Denver Partnership. It will run over five weekends from June through August (June 1 and 2; June 15 and 16; July 6 and 7; August 10 and 11; and August 17 and 18). Union Station will also host the Mile High Global Bazaar on June 29 and 30.
