A brewery, two bars and a food hall down south are among this week's openings. Beer lovers, take note: A Bit Twisted Brewery & Smokehouse debuted in Aurora, combining Colorado craft beer and Texas-style barbecue. If cocktails are your preferred boozy beverage, River — which is also part art gallery — opened in the former Welcome Inn location, while the Nearby Bar is serving drinks on Platte Street next door to its sister restaurant, Proto's Pizza.

In Greenwood Village, Troy Guard's Grange Hall became the southern suburb's first food hall, and it's loaded with popular options, from fried chicken and burgers to sushi and pizza. A few miles away on South Yosemite Street, the Dumpling Factory is serving up a variety of boiled and fried dumplings along with noodles and a selection of appetizers.

Dumplings are also on the menu at Chinatown Bistro, which opened in the former location of Uptown Wok; that spot closed in 2016 following a fire. Over on East 17th Avenue, the longtime home of the Avenue Grill is back in business as Revival Denver Public House.

Parlor Doughnuts, which has become a fast favorite for its layered approach to the pastry, has started serving at its second location in Aurora; it will be open weekends-only as it staffs up.

And it's time to say farewell to Rita's Law, the Five Points bar that poured its last drink on September 24; owner Rita Price hopes to reopen one day in a new, less challenging location. Moving is exactly what the plan is for this week's other closure, Open, which has been slinging its chef-created sandwiches out of American Bonded since March. In October, it will start serving at Goosetown Tavern on Colfax Avenue.
