George Clinton, Thursday and Friday, December 7 and 8, at the Fox Theatre, and Friday, December 9, at the Ogden, may not create at the furious pace he managed during the Seventies, but he continues to give good show. In combination with the P-Funk All-Stars (essentially, those members of the Parliament/Funkadelic family tree in good graces with Dr. Funkenstein), Clinton cranks out hour after hour of woozy, mind-tripping grooves held together primarily by the force of his personality. The spontaneity and exuberance the followers of Uncle Jam bring to the table in these days of choreography and caution is more than rare: It's positively inspiring. Free your mind and your ass will follow.
