We just decided it would be fun to do, and all the proceeds will be donated to the animals, says dog-loving Mod Livin owner Jill Warner. But its also a way for local small businesses to market themselves. And the entries, meant to reflect the spirit of each business, are pouring in.
Im amazed at how good they all are, Warner adds. Consider Mod Livins own dog, which resembles an Eames rocker; the Skyes puppy, an outdoor picnic pastiche with dog poop on its head; Larabars candy-wrapper-strewn entry; or the Kirkland Museums dotted puppy that looks as if it crawled right out of one of Vance Kirklands splashy nebulae. And thats just a smattering of whats available for the bidding tonight.
