"I think kickball is coming back quite a bit," says Scott Esmond, co-chair of the Young Professionals Advisory Council, a division of the Colorado Make-A-Wish Foundation. "It's a good thirty-something, semi-physical, do-it-with-a-beer-in-your-hand kind of sport."
Beginning at 9 a.m. at Dick's Sporting Goods Park, some 600 young philanthropists will do battle on sixteen fields in an effort to win prizes and raise more than $25,000 for children with life-threatening illnesses. Registration is closed, but spectators can contribute by purchasing raffle tickets, cheering on teams and enjoying free beer from Steamworks Brewing Company.
Dick's Sporting Goods Park is located at 6000 Victory Way in Commerce City. Get more information at www.kickaball-makeawish.org or by calling 303-534-2924.
