It really is supposed to be like Reverend Sun Myung Moons mass ceremony meets DIY, explains DPLs cultural programming director, Chris Loffelmacher. I just thought itd be really fun to get a group of people together in one room, working on the same thing and sharing not only ideas, but materials.
Loffelmacher and Maxwell thought pompoms and tassels would be a perfect fit for such an endeavor. We wanted to pick something that was an easy investment and that people could learn very quickly and make a few of before the day was over, Loffelmacher says. And she said, Why not a tassel- and pompom-a-thon?
The workshop runs from 10:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at the Central Library, 10 West 14th Avenue Parkway, with an hour break for lunch. All materials are included in the $25 admission fee. Visit http://denverlibrary.org/fresh for information.
