It almost seems like a no-brainer: Take the avant Cirque du Soleil fancy circus shtick and plant it on the back of a magnificent Arabian steed. Or two, or three, or fifty. Cavalia: A Magical Encounter Between Horse and Man, the invention of Cirque founder Normand Latourelle, is what might result, and it’s bound to be a stunner, if only on the strength of its splendid equine cast. The people, rather than the horses, will be the props in this dreamy circus show that’s all about encapsulating, but not stunting, the wildness of these beautiful animals. Fifty horses representing twelve breeds challenge the show’s acrobats, dancers, aerialists, musicians and intrepid riders against a multimedia backdrop under a ten-story tent in the Pepsi Center parking lot at 1000 Chopper Place.
