The doc will screen tonight as part of the Denver Film Centers Watching Hour series and will be hosted by Langenkamp herself.
There are no Nancy dolls, no Nancy toys, no Nancy anything, says Keith Garcia, programming manager for the Denver FilmCenter. Garcia notes that the character of Nancy went beyond the traditional toss-away final girl, as a role integral to the horror institutions success.
This edition of the Watching Hour, which begins at 8 p.m., will also feature a question-and-answer session with Langenkamp after the film.
The screening and talk will be followed by a party that includes an autograph session with Langenkamp while Nightmare on Elm Street films play in the lobby. Tickets, $10 to $12, are available at the Center, 2510 East Colfax Avenue or www.denverfilm.org. Call the box office at 303-595-3456.
