Now that Walter White has freed himself from the specter of death at the hands of Gustavo Fring, what comes next on his meth-fueled rise to absolute power and his corresponding fall into the depths of utter corruption? Find out among friends — or at least similarly obsessed fans — at the Denver Film Society’s free Breaking Bad weekly watch party. “It makes it more of a community event as opposed to sitting there by yourself,” explains Karla Rodriguez, DFS audience development manager. “We encourage people to hang out afterward and talk about the show. But leave the meth at home; it’s not going to be that kind of party.”

The Bad behavior starts tonight at 7 p.m. at the Denver FilmCenter, 2510 East Colfax Avenue, with a happy hour with themed drink specials; at 8 p.m., serious viewers will head into the theater to watch the show on the big screen, while compulsive chatterers can stay in the lounge to catch it in a more casual atmosphere. And during commercial breaks in the theater, you’ll have a chance to show off your obsessive knowledge of Breaking Bad minutiae by answering trivia questions to win prizes. The watch parties continue through September 2; for more info, visit www.denverfilm.org or call 303-595-3456.
Sundays, 8 p.m. Starts: July 15. Continues through Sept. 2, 2012
