“The event originally grew out of the wonderful people at Counterpath reading about a performance I made in which the ‘dance’ was primarily my fingers live-typing words and ideas projected — and moving — across a screen,” Vandenbroucke explains. “I’ve been obsessed with the idea of making written dances. Counterpath invited me to come perform it, and then I invited the other two to come share their work as well, in order to further look at possible intersections between writing and dance.”
The trio’s performance — a three-sided treatise coming from each artist’s point of view and meeting somewhere in the middle — begins tonight at 7 p.m.; admission is free. For more information, visit counterpathpress.org.
