“Itchy-O’s live performances go with pyrotechnics like milk and cookies,” the anonymous masked marauders announce in a collective e-mail. “We’ve only had a few opportunities to perform with fireworks. It’s really been a thick coat of icing on our nine-tiered mega-freak-out-cake. Being able to take advantage of being so close to Mile High’s fireworks display is really going to send this Fourth of July sideways.”
“We’re a big broken toy-box of dark-junk and light, and what we try to invoke is a spiritual experience with a bunch of low-tech garbage,” they continue. “We will be bringing out our big ghetto-tech revival July 4, celebrating our true independence and pirating some of the light in the sky from the adjoining neighbors at Sports Authority Stadium during their humongo fireworks show.”
The first 300 tickets to the performance will go for just $10; get yours in advance at itchyo.com/event/dark-junk-under-mile-high-lights. Limited $10 tickets are also available at the Mutiny Information Cafe or Video One. The spectacle starts at 7 p.m. in the parking lot at 1630 Federal Boulevard.
