Here's the latest dish on Dish: Westword's annual eating orgy is set for Thursday evening, September 6, and it will once again be held in the great outdoors -- but this time we're bringing great food, great drink and great entertainment to the Sculpture Park at the Denver Performing Arts Complex.

For those who are counting, this is our eighteenth edition of what started as Menu Affair. Like Denver's dining scene, the event has evolved over the years, and this year we're continuing a new tradition we started last year: All of the restaurants/food trucks that will be sampling their best dishes are there at the express invitation of Cafe Society scribes.

The restaurants that have already signed up to dish at Dish include Fire on the Mountain, Sexy Pizza, Interstate Kitchen & Bar, Crimson Canary, Thai Monkey Club, Manneken Frites, Corner Office, Juicy Burgers & Dogs, Jonesy's EatBar, El Taco de Mexico, Le Grand Bistro & Oyster Bar, Cafe|Bar, Frijoles Colorado Cuban Cafe, El Chingon Mexican Bistro, Tony's Bistro and Lala's Wine Bar + Pizzeria. Biker Jim's Gourmet Dogs will be there, too, as will trucks from Comida, Crock Spot, Mestizo's, Gigi's Cupcake and the PB&J Truck. And we're adding other eateries and taste treats every day.

And there's still time to add to the Dish menu:

Tell us what restaurant and/or which truck you're hungering to see there -- either by posting your suggestion in the comments section below or e-mailing it to [email protected]. We'll narrow the nominations down to a list of finalists that we'll publish next week on Cafe Society, then ask readers to vote for their favorites.

The winning restaurant and truck will be invited to join us at Dish. There's no guarantee that the winners will accept our invitation (it turns out that first weekend in September is a busy one, and many businesses are already overbooked), but in the meantime, this should give you plenty to chew on.

And if you haven't yet bought your ticket to Dish, find all the details here.
