TUESDAY, FEBRUARY 4Jill's Restaurant, located in the St. Julien Hotel & Spa, will host a seven-course Vegan Dinner Fundraiser prepared by executive chef Laurent Mechin to benefit the Greenwood Wildlife Rehabilitation Center. The Wildlife Center, located in Lyons, is a nonprofit organization that focuses on the rehabilitation of injured wildlife. WEDNESDAY, FEBRUARY 5 Auguste Escoffier School of Culinary Arts will host a hands-on workshop for making gnocchi -- the popular Italian dumpling. The class will be lead by chef instructor Carrie Longhini, and runs from 5:30 to 9 p.m. Tickets are $75; purchase them here.
THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 6 The American Council of the Blind & Visually Impaired of Colorado is sponsoring the seventh annual Dinner in the Dark event at the Hyatt Regency Denver at 7 p.m. All the proceeds from the event go to the Sight for Seniors Program. In order put guests in the shoes of the visually impaired, the lights will go down as dinner begins; sleep shades and visual impairment simulators will be available to heighten the "dark" experience for those who want the full experience of being blind. Motivational speaker and former Denver Bronco Reggie Rivers will serve as host and auctioneer; singer/songwriter Karen Karsh who is visually impaired, and her band will provide live entertainment. Tickets are $100 per person, $180 per couple and can be purchased online.
