And tonight the Wolkons will be honored for their efforts at the Maverick Thinkers fundraiser for Urban Peak, a non-profit that works with homeless youth and has benefited directly from the Wolkons' largesse. For the past decade, Vesta has hosted the Plates for the Peak fundraiser for Urban Peak.
Here's Urban Peak's description of tonight's award:
Watch for the eleventh Plates for the Peak at Vesta this fall.
Business Honorees // Vesta Dipping Grill // Josh and Jennifer Wolkon
The Wolkons are the proud owners Vesta Dipping Grill, Ace Eat Serve, and Steuben's, three of Denver's finest restaurants....The duo started their journey with Urban Peak through the Spot when Josh and Jen started "Small Plates for the Spot," a delicious fundraiser featuring delectable dishes from Vesta Dipping Grill, an open bar, and an amazing silent auction. The decade-old event has grown right alongside Urban Peak. Now known as "Plates for the Peak," the event is Urban Peak's second-oldest fundraiser and has raised almost $200,000 dollars for youth experiencing homelessness.
